Rude! Rude! Rude! The "ladies" behind the front desk are super rude. Firstly, we brought our cat in to get her fixed. It is already a $200 procedure. Then they start to nickle and dime for every single thing related to the surgery. If she messes with her stitches? Extra cost. Want someone to resuscitate her? Extra money. If she needs a cone? Extra money. If she sneezes and they need to wipe it? Extra money. If she needs fluids? Extra money. Secondly, the cat has a little lump on her leg. We asked them, "She'll be here all day. Can the doctor take a little look and give an opinion as to whether we need to do an office visit to investigate further?" We were shut down rudely by the front desk saying, "uhhh....she's here for a surgery. that's an office visit. We don't control the pricing." It was said with a big attitude. The women working the front desk have no business being in a customer facing position. The rest of our animals see Dr. Rob Baker in Fort Payne. He wouldn't have charged like that. He would have happily given an opinion as to whether she should be seen. And everyone that works there are just the best. Closer doesn't mean better. I will never go to B&A again. Rude. Expensive. A bad experience overall. Even the cost could be overlooked if the people that work there weren't such jerks. And the way they nickel and dime every single thing as an ad-on for the surgery is NUTS. They won't even monitor their heart rate without an additional cost. DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL HERE.

I love the staff at B&A! My family has been using them for well over 11 years now, and have never had a poor experience. Went recently so that my dog could get a much needed bath and nail trim (she will not let anyone touch her paws, except for the staff there) and you would think that she went to a luxury spa and vacation! She's always so excited to see 'her other human friends' there. Even my cats, who don't enjoy leaving the house, aren't overly stressed at the vet. They don't love it, but they still feel safe under their care. -Sarah Kilpatrick
