Bessemer Mccalla Animal Clinic

this place is a joke the doctor is very rude and unprofessional and makes you feel very uncomfortable. he will literally try an guilt trip you into spending unnecessary $$ “or your dogs going to die”…got my female dog fixed here and was expecting the price to be like everywhere else $250 MAX if the dogs in heat and extra $25 i should’ve asked the price and that’s my fault but the doctor proceeded to tell my wife (who does not need to hear none of this) how much of a bloody mess the surgery was and just being rude and unprofessional they have no laser equipment so they do it the old school way witch is fine but he literally charged me 700 bucks just to get a female dog fixed and when i got her back i kid you not she must of had 40 staples down her stomach i’ve never seen an incision that big on a dog that just went in to get fixed this place needs to be shut down!!!!

He is very cold and mean . He needs to be shut down . I had a baby kitten that I took there today in a panic he wouldn't help the poor baby unless I had 500$ and was so rude and mean and cold wouldn't hear anything I had to say I had to walk out the office bc I was so disgusted with his attitude and demeanor my friend stayed on there for him to tell her he would put the kitten to sleep but we had to take her with us or give him 100 to dispose of the kitten. She agreed to allow him to euthanize her and we would take her home and bury her. She wasn't outside long enough to light her cigarettes before their lady to front desk brought us a blue bag with the kitten in it saying he euthanized her and that we had to dispose of her ourselves. He did not euthanize her she was still breathing when they brought me the bag that he put her in and tied it for me to bring her home and bury her we weren't there long enough for him to euthanize her again my friend come outside to tell me what was going on and smoke a cigarette before she could light her cigarette the lady rude lady at the front desk brings us a blue bag out the door with the kitten in it still breathing barely. He is a disgrace. He needs to be charged with animal cruelty. His actions are inhumane. He did not euthanize my kitten he put her in a and a blue bag and tied it for her to suffocate. She did die but in in pain and she suffered maybe she had an upper respiratory I'm not really sure. She had an eye infection for a couple of days I came in and she was blue give my kitten mouth to mouth she started being responsive that's what I then rushed her to the vet. For him this mean evil unprofessional man ( not vet he don't deserve that title ) to put her in a bag trying to suffocate her acting like he euthanized her. Again and he didn't he's a liar and she deserves that charges pressed against him for animal crossing. He wouldn't even look at the kitten without $500. He does not deserve to be called of that he should be called a scam a liar they need to take his license and shut his building down.

Dr. Gaines quickly got my cats in for a visit today, took great care of them & I was on my way. Thanks again.

Dr Gains and his staff are wonderful my little Gizmo didn't make it because he contacted pneumonia but they were very respectful

Update/part two be aware of this veterinary office. They’ll try to degrade you and humiliate you by saying that you don’t have any money due to the fact that I don’t want to pay their $765 fee Without the animal being diagnosed or any test being run, that’s their deposit that you have to pay to get your animal treated by the way, so I left and I decided to get a second opinion due to the fact that the veterinarian only went to euthanize my animal and not actually treat it. My second opinion ended up being that my animal had ammonia and it is treatable. This vet only wanted to euthanize your animals from my experience and not do the actual steps to make sure that my pet couldn’t be saved. He is out for money and nothing more. I also asked to be treated like I am human and not like I’m just a payday and he grabbed a needle filled it with some type of liquid and gave my cat a shot and said that’s me being human be aware he will not let you know what he gives your animalif you make him upset also, on top of that, his veterinarian assistant we’ll talk about about you in the hallway, even if you can hear it and say I didn’t do anything to you, but she doesn’t understand that you can hear her and what she said about me was of course my cat is gonna start feeling better because the treatment was free and it wasn’t free because they didn’t even give her the right antibiotics. They just put my animal life at danger so get again do not go because he will just want your money and if your animal is in bad shape, he would just say let me euthanize it
